But, perhaps, what he missed out to mention was that, on the other side of the coin, a strike by the employees of a bank of this size can also bring the entire national machinery to a grinding halt. That’s what the command of SBI on Indian banking system is. Oft en hailed as the ‘Big Daddy’ of the Indian banking industry, SBI celebrated its 200th anniversary this year. It’s the oldest, the largest and still the best!
