WILL SRK’S MAGIC WORK FOR DLF?
Who said that real estate companies lack glamour and extravagance? Not any more, as the new-found Don of Bollywood (aka Shahrukh Khan) is now playing brand ambassador for the Indian real estate giant – DLF. With the Big B doing justice to Aamby Valley as its ambassador, DLF too has roped in King Khan and is busy cashing in on his filmy oomph to pit itself against its competitors. Coming from the real estate major, which had virtually no celebrity endorsement before this SRK splash, this one is a strategic move by DLF. This new initiative from DLF is designed to lend the group a leadership brand imagery, as well as to further its mass appeal to attract investors, ahead of its proposed IPO. Amitava Mitra, Creative Director, Percept H elaborates: “There are a series of ad films that are planned to be released under 3 main concepts. Each concept will have a main film followed by 2-3 shorter films.
