Things in perspective

To put things in perspective, let us understand how successfully we have grown; or rather, how successfully we have been able to dehumanise growth. It is no secret that our current growth is fueled primarily by the manufacturing and services sectors. And with the growth in agriculture constantly sliding by the day (a mere 2.7% for the current fiscal, it has been completely abandoned by the rewards of growth), this effectively means that about 400 to 600 million people in our country, who are directly or indirectly engaged with the agricultural sector, have been shunted from the current growth momentum.
