Call it good or bad, but it has given back more to tribes what has been their right for centuries. The Recognition of Forest Right Bill, 2005 gives right to every household living in the premises of forests in India to own 2.5 hectare of land. Besides this, limited right over the forest resources has also been given. But as usual the enforceability of this bill has always been under controversy and will it be in the betterment of the tigers (not safe in India), tribes or both is a question yet to be answered.
